The gallery itself was somewhat disappointing. JP wanted to turn his friends on to his favourite musician, and was able to find some CDs by him at a music store in Berkeley. Hot beverages were consumed while the newspaper was read in search of other worthy activities. Later, Chez Panisselived up to its reputation. Joel chased after chicken little, JP's taste buds swam with the fish, Cat pigged out on the pork and Michael contented himself with a pizza. The meals were shared by all 4, and appreciated by at least 4 of them.
Back at his hotel the following day, Cat should have contented himself with the calamari with yuzu mayonnaise (the delicate flavour of the delicious Japanese citrus fruit yuzu drowned out by the mayonnaise) at Florinda's Market Street Grill, the restaurant attached to his hotel. It was billed as an appetizer, so poor Cat ordered some noodles with spinach, sun-dried tomatoes and chicken for lunch. If only he had his friends with massive culinary capacities to share this vast meal with.
Before lunch, Cat had made his way by bus to Golden Gate Park. The Science Academy there-in promised the experience of the 06 earthquake that Quake Time required for authenticity, and the experience was delivered, after a 1-hour wait in line.
