Sacre Cour wasn't as impressive with the lights on inside as it was in darkness when visited in 1980. The whole city was so enchanting, Cat didn't mind when his micro cassette recorder was stolen while riding the metro. Paris is equally stunning, within and without its best museums.
After enduring mostly poor food in Italy, the Ishikawas were delighted to find excelent Chinese food (a mild shrimp chili, broccoli, shumai and pork rolls), some great stuffed eggplant at the Kurdish restaurant Meze near their hotel, some great pike dumplings at Maitre Kanter (a chain of German/French cuisine) and fantastic French food for lunch in the Latin Quarter as they awaited their train for the French country side.
